Lifestyle newborn photography is about more than just freezing a single moment in time. It's about capturing the earliest days with your new baby and your growing family. It's about holding your baby in your arms, kissing his forehead, and savoring that sweet baby smell. It's about embracing all of the emotions and documenting this new season of your life.
There will be times when you just look down at your child and wonder how you got so lucky. Lifestyle newborn photography sessions are as easy as a cozy Sunday spent with the people you love most. These sessions take place in your home and are a way to capture what life was like when your baby was born. I'll photograph special moments of your baby with each family member, family pictures of you all together, and portraits of your baby.
What is lifestyle newborn photography?

If picking out outfits after having a baby takes you back to your high school days when you literally tried on everything in your closet but still felt like you had nothing to wear, you're in luck.
I've put together an extensive newborn session style guide with tips for every member of the family. Once your newborn session is officially booked, I'll send over the guide and we'll get started on styling your dream session!
What should we wear?

Preparing your home involves simplifying your space. I'll give you plenty of tips for decluttering in the newborn session style guide, and I'll also take a look around when I arrive for your session to see if I find anything that might be distracting in your photos.
How do we prep our home for a lifestyle session?

The sooner the better! I recommend booking a tentative newborn session date for the week following your due date. To best serve my clients, I book a limited number of newborn sessions each month. This allows me to be flexible to adjust your session date if your baby arrives earlier or later than your expected due date.
How far in advance should we book a newborn session?

Of course! Pets are just as much a part of your family as your new baby, and I am always willing to incorporate a few family pictures with your sweet pup. Just make sure to have some treats on hand so I can get him in the perfect position for your family photo, and I'll handle the rest!

You've thoroughly combed through my website, blog and Instagram feed and you like what you see. So the next step is setting up a time to chat to make sure we're the perfect fit for one another.

Once your tentative session date is booked, we'll start styling your session! I'll send over my newborn session style guide, and we'll work on styling your outfits for your session. After that, your job is just to let me know when your baby has arrived so we can confirm your session date!

Your lifestyle newborn session will be such a sweet time for you to relax, cuddle your family, and smile at your precious new addition (I promise, it will be really easy to do!) I'll focus on creating images that you will cherish forever.
The Session

About three weeks after your session, you can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery. At that time, we'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums.
