While my focus is on maternity and newborn photography, I wouldn't be able to continue to serve my clients without offering portrait sessions! Family portrait sessions were born from past newborn clients wanting to continue to document their babies as they got bigger, and I just love this opportunity to see your family again. These sessions are so much fun! We play lots of games, laugh and smile and hug, and we capture moments of you interacting together as a family. I love creating photos to remind families that, in spite of the fact that the car of their floor is covered in cereal, their laundry room looks like an episode of Hoarders, and Mom and Dad are in a permanent state of exhaustion, their family and their story are beautiful.

FAQ
No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos! If it looks like it's going to rain, a hurricane is heading our way, or some other weather catastrophe, I'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule. Often, when I'm scheduling portrait session dates, if it works for our calendars, I'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.
What do we do if it rains?

The sooner the better! I book limited full portrait sessions, so the sooner you reach out to me, the more likely you are to get one of my spots!
How far in advance should we book?

If picking out outfits for photos takes you back to your high school days when you literally tried on everything in your closet but still felt like you had nothing to wear, you're in luck.
I've put together an extensive outfit suggestion guide with tips for every member of the family. I'll send this over to you after your session is officially booked!
What should we wear?

Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. Heck, I take photos for a living and I even feel like a deer in the headlights when I'm in front of the camera.
You might feel awkward at first, but as the session goes on and I coach you through images, I think you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. I'm well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones.
